Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Certification

Vega has a commitment to “The Triple Bottom Line” by ensuring that we continue to be:

Vega's ISO 14001:2004 certification is considered an essential element to delivery of this commitment.

Implementation of an EMS is designed to achieve not only regulatory and legislative compliance but also to provide a systematic approach to:

• Prevention of pollution and waste minimisation
• Continuous environmental improvement
• Response to changing circumstances
• Checking that activities are on track and, if not, instigating corrective action

In mid 2005 Vega commenced work on establishment of the procedures and systems necessary to support an effective EMS. Many “green” initiatives have been implemented since that date.
