Our Heidelberg Speedmaster CD74 is an A2 press with 5 colour and Aqueous coating capabilities. Our KBA AG Rapida 105 is an A1 5 colour press also with Aqueous coating.
One of the special features of these presses is the availablity of Aqueous coating. Aqueous is more environmentally friendly than UV coating, Varnish or laminates as unlike its counterparts, it is water based. It provides significant cost savings and reduces job turnaround times as both the coating and ink are applied to the paper stock in one pass through the press.

- More time efficient as it is fast drying which means quicker print runs
- Most cost effective coating option as it can be run in-line which means that our presses can print up to 5 colours plus aqueous coating in one sheet-pass through the press
- Can enhance lesser grade papers by yielding a glossier and smoother finish
- Available in a variety of finishes including gloss, satin and matte
- Provides a better gloss finish than varnish
- Provides greater scuff and abrasion resistance than varnishes
- Will not yellow with age as varnishes do
- Available in ‘spot’ coating
- Improves the look, feel and durability of many different types of print jobs, for example, typical projects that might require an aqueous coating include art posters and prints, annual reports, book covers, high-quality print advertising and picture postcards
